View Full Version : Odd goings on with CCBill over the last few days
OK, this is just my own sites, none of my sponsors it seems are doing the same. But the past two days, my recuring sales have plumeted and my single 6 month sales have shot up. Almost sign up for sign up. It seems all my recuring $30 sales are being replced with $89 six month sales.
While Im not complaining, as of course short term Im making much more money. But I'm a little worried that for some reason people are not being given the option of the recuring option. But I cant see anything wrong
doubtful someone who wanted to spend 30 bucks will suddenly take 89 in his little hands because the cheaper option isn't given, most would feel tricked and stay away to begin with, i'd have guessed, while you say the numbers have just moved from one sign up option to the other really.
maybe word has gotten around about charging back just before the 6 months are over?

have to expect the worst to try and avoid it.
OTOH, maybe people realised they save 50% by joining every 6 months instead of paying monthly?
does your memebr area offer a means of contact so members could talk about this, JT? maybe you got yourself a buyer type of member, instructing them. :D
The bad news I usually see is,.. These are the ones that get charged back near then end of the membership as fraud and we can do nothing about this, even if we have proof that they've accessed the site for all that time and have downloaded everything... :(

Ive never seen someone take out a six month membership and charge back. I see people being members for 6 months recuring and charge back, the proportion they can.
Maybe its just a coincidence

Its alwways been like that and Ive always had 6 month members, but not like this at the same time as recuring has fallen by pretty much the same

I get a lot of one month sales at $5 more than a 30 day re-bill to most of my sites. The surfer downloads what he can and then comes back 3 months later to download en masse again.. and again and again.

that's what i was talking about. if you have a forum or some other means where members can contact each other, someone may have planted the idea of switching from recurring and paying 180 bucks to 6 months at once and saving 50%.
not saying they'd do that in a malicious mindset, just sharing like neighbours inform each other when they found a bargain in a shop.

CCBill are great with their support and it's a good reflection on Bitch and Bollox that they do come in to post when needed...
They way this forum is growing.. Who knows.. Now Playboy own GFY.. This may be next ... :)
