-HF.. thunderball? I'm disappointed, I thought you are smart enough to stay away from such things.

just gave it another whirl. takes bloody ages to do a single domain, but it seems to be working again. sorta.

although with sub pages it randomly cuts off the www part.

able to add now (hence my delay!), but, I have noticed it removes the www on random domains (including root), and has done so since I started using it about a fortnight ago, which is a right fucking pain in the arse.

Thunderball was http://www.thunder-ball.net right? It loads extremely slow. I guess it just grew too big or somebody is DDoS'ing them.

How come is Thunderball better than using a proper link exchange script though? Last time I went there I saw people trading there with massive blog farms with no value.

There's good and bad trades to be had, but overall since I started using it again it has improved my SERPs on some of my sites, need to work on the others.

The ideal way to use thunder ball is to NOT put all of your sites under one username - Set up with (say) 5-6 domains and choose the best 3 domains you want to make a hit with search engines with -
Avoid all the blog farms -
The sites you want to benefit most, do not accept links for (Well, 1-2 every so often) Use these sites for incomming links only - As often as possible, request incomming links and let the partner choose - Most go for abc linking so you will always benefit -
Since I have been using thunder ball, my google hits have gone up by around 5000 a day and rising.

btw - If you add new sites now and the www doesn't show - Go to google webmasters, and choose both www and without - Google then treats both as the same -

So we just ignore this:

"
Using Multiple Accounts Is Absolutely Forbidden

So what is this site all about, how does it work etc etc. There is no explanation of anything unless I missed it. Do we have to sign up before actually finding out what it is and how it works?

The guys working for me have their own accounts - They run a small group of sites along the same lines I do -
Must admit - Didn't see the warning - So my advice would be to follow their rules. Just ensure you keep a few sites for incomming links mainly.

It's a fully automated link enchanger - You can choose what type of sites you trade with etc -
Very easy to use - Some good webmasters use it and obviously a load of complete idiots - Just looking through webmasters domains list is enough to show you the kind webmaster he is -
I would fully recommend using it -

Yeah I just wondered why there is no explanation, maybe they just want word of mouth to keep a lot of the wankers away, although you, -HF, Jel and redwhiteandblue us it so that doesn't work then :P

noone says you have to use their autolink thingie. i sure as hell won't ever do that, alone for the cunts that request/accept trades and never follow through on setting the links up.

use it wisely, skim through the sites people have (some have gems listed in worng categories, so searching for them might lead to no results), trade links using something worthwile like Links Organizer (http://www.contpro.com/lo.php), which also checks if links are up, making you double safe, as TB will check and LO will.

of course there are shitloads of wankers with useless pages to trade with, so what? surely you too get a load of trade requests by mail every day, there is at least as much shite amongst those. with TB you can at least block them out, just shitlist them if they bother you and they will not see your domains anymore. everyone wins, sorta.

Not quite sure what you mean there - you talking your google account? Atm I use a htaccess line that should auto-direct http://.domain to http://www.domain (I say should, on a very few domains it doesn't - they dont correlate with the thunderball issue dropping the www though).

That the same? I meant to ask on here the other day but forgot.

You had to fucking ask me this question, didn't you - I can't spell the fucking name of it - !
Google webmasters has an anylitics/ani FUCK litic page where you add your site - You get a bit of code to add to your headers etc - Look around the site and it gives you the option of treating site.com and www.site.com as different or the same - different is google's default.
I set all my sites to the same purely because when inter-site linking, I tend to miss off the www.
If thunder ball are omitting the www for new sites, well, you could go for that, but if you already have site links, it is better to capitalise (another word I struggle with) on that.

lol.

Right yeah I remember adding that but not really liking the fact of giving google easy (easier) access to a complete list of my domains. I'm half-confident that adding

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^itslindsaylohannude.(.*)
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.itslindsaylohannude.com/$1 [R=301,L]

in htaccess does the same sort of job, if I remember rightly it's so that natural inbounds whereby some will include the www. and some won't, still give the same benefit. Don't quote me on that though. Well, unless you quote this post to reply.

I guess I should take a closer look then, tried it once and I was left with impression that you have to use this autolink thing for some reason. Which obviously made it very shitty in my eyes.

But if it is like this.. hey.. having another place for linktrades couldn't possibly hurt, thanks :)

just shows how differently people read things, i totally missed the auto link code even being there until last week.
