Im into my gaming in a big way but no way would I pay that amount over the odds for anything - there are some on Ebay at the moment for well over a grand, if they sell then it just goes to show that some people have a LOT more money than sense. My plan is to leave it a few months till they are back in the shops and there are some decent new games around!

There are also loads of them at around £400-500

but i never buy anything like this untill its been around 6 months
they are very underdeveloped and rely on customers feedback and problems to only then start ironing them out these people dont have the budget car makers have for development and even they get it wrong

So people paying premiums are stupid

another interesting point on this subject is ..We have a friend who actually worked on the marketing and release stratagy for Sonys PS2, he told us it was an actual decision to release it in UK just before Christmas and make NO stock available and keep them warehoused until early Jan.

Build a desire first is the basic principle here
and so many people placed orders and left deposits anyway that they really didnt care about the Christmas market

Same thing happening with PSP now..

he is a very interesting guy and landed the job as tour manager for Oasis last world tour.. He got that call when in a double meeting with us and Oasis Manager big celebrations as he negotiated a %

fuck we made a lousy £50 on each one of the 12 we where allocated, we should have stuck them on ebay and made nearly £9000

Seems like eBay sellers have come out of this best. They must be making more per unit than Bill Gates.

Jase I dont think it will offer that much mate as a console. I looked into to it and they are trying to get people on the higher spec box with a view to people using them as an entry level 'Windows Home Media Centre'.

Some of the screen shots look great though you cant tell anything from them as they tend to take em from the cut scenes. Like you I love my games its just finding the time to play em.

Back on the cricket again - get to play about 1 hour a night if Im lucky but try and squeeze some time in on a sunday. Long gone are the days of spending hours lost in a room on tomb raider

Doubt he's making a penny on the hardware. Most consoles are loss leaders.
