what a div.

irland is doing the full what.

i bet you will get people with over 50k move there cash, which will create a panic and others will too.

Irish banks will be busy the next few days with all the new accounts.

if he said he would cover the whole lot, people would not panick.

now people will.

what a wally.

It's a good job Gordon Bwown is not the prime minister then because he would make a worse job than the current PM.

People are moving their money now. I was moving money last week, anything over 35k from banks and they are packed, everyone doing the same. I'll tell you how mad it is, one place for example, Abbey National, I went in to open an account on Friday and I have had to make an apointment for next wednesday, which was the soonest they could fit me in. Thats them fully booked for nearly two weeks.

It hasn't been called "Abbey National" since about 1923, grandad.

It's a Spanish-owned bank - they're safer because they didn't fall for the Thatcher/Reagan crap. :P

banks are only unsafe as some took risks.

all the silly ones have now gobne belly up in the uk.

so its now a case of things getting better. if not and a decent bank has problems then thats when we are realy in problems.

i am not being clever, its what they daid on radio 4.
