This year I have a plan.

Boots has buy two and get 1 free.

So I will buy 36 presents then take 24 of them back, and keep the 12 free ones.

I think it will work.

clever, if they wouldn't ask for the receipt which lists the free items as well. ;)

Yes, but its the ones you paid for you take back.

I do not think they are intitled to take back somthing you paid for.

the contract (yes, any purchase in a shop is a contract both sides agree to) is you get 1 additional item free if you purchase 2 items. since you bring the paid for items back, you are not fulfilling your part of the deal, so they are absolutely entitled to demand the free items back.

I tell people tht I have desided to become a Jehovah Witness and that as such I cannot give presents, but will not offend others so will take presents. This to date has not worked.

I always buy my dad somthing I want. The way I see it, is he is 58, so he aint got long to go. So it will be mine soon anyway.

If you want free stuff, buy something, pay in cash, then go back to the shop later without the item but with the receipt. Take another item off the shelf and go to customer services with it, show the receipt & ask for your money back. My mate used to do it all the time. Just don't get caught.
