Like most of you I get a sign up notifications by e-mail from CCBill whenever anyone signs up to one of our sites. This afternoon when I log into my admin area I notice that the figures don't quite add up, so I investigate. On UK Flashers this afternoon we had a "sign up" where the guy wasn't charged a penny and was able to access the site and download content.

I've mailed CCBill about this and was told he wasn't refunded, he just wasn't charged. So CCBill are giving away free memberships to my sites now or what? :mad:

It appears his bank declined his card. A quarter of an hour AFTER CCBill accepted his membership, added him to the password file, and let him download a shit load of content for free.

So much for scrubbing.

We got sent someone elses credit card by mistake the other day
You can use his if you want to make it up

I should post the number on here and we all can have a few members..The way i feel about my bank right now..

That is a pretty unusual one. We have had similar issues in the past but again its the big picture that counts.

year or so ago - maybe longer - a surfer could fill in a load of old bollocks on the join form (CCBill) and get temp access to the target site ... i think the target site might have had to be utilising custom join forms, but even so, big back door.

Have to reckon there's a good few ways to get added to the pass file 'legitimately'.

Checks with ccBill are my beef with them......... about 1/3 come back as returned checks...... cost me over $100 so far this week.......

Get in touch with your rep there as they have a little fix that cuts this down drastically now.
