Anyone know how to fix my wireless connection. Its driving me mental :comp:

I have a net Gear Router. My wireless lap top can see it all the time. Until my neighbour turns his car alarm on. Then My lap top can no longer see my net gear router but it can still see other routers. So Im almost 100% sure its his alarm interfearing with the net gear router.

Any ideas?

Have you tried sneaking out in the middle of the night and covering his car with 50 rolls of tin foil? Worth a try.

Tried your router on a different channel?

Borrow a friends router .. different make/model to one you have .. if the fucker works OK just buy one of the same ... job done.

Havnt tried the Tin foil.

Tried on different channel and couldnt get my lap top to see it at all, not even when his car was out. Maybe Im missing a change on my lap top

Well yeah you'll have to find the setting on your laptop to match it up to the channel you set the router to ... try it..
