Hrmmmm. Fuck knows what thats about then. Could envisage them doing another series of ashes to ashes, but havent heard anything about a 3rd series of life on mars.

Life on Mars is being repeated now on BBC4 or something, the mrs never caught it 1st time round so gives me a reason to watch it again ... best telly series ever. :oldman:

Buy the box set series 1 and 2 it's top, worth the investment.

Ashes to Ashes was about GH being out of his depth in London Village, they couldn't handle his straight talking, twat 'em and ask 'em questions later approach to modern policing.
As you know LoM filmed in MANCLAND and BBC 4 showing repeats ready for
the NOV new series.........or so it is scheduled for.......but that is subject to Geezer paying his TV license:noway2:

OK brace yourself... Gene Hunt is a fictional character. :noway2:

I wonder if they'll keep making new series until he's only going back in time about 6 months.

The new newsletter format has had a good response - we're expecting good repeat sales over the weekend.

Oh yeah - you probably noticed we feature Private's latest movie. Just awaiting your affiliate sign-up request (I'll toss a coin and let you know). :)

OK but seriously... why do you think that? We have affiliates and studios who have tried both and compare us favourably.

don't take offence

1- price, with the exchange they are cheaper
2- PPM, it converts well and TBH I think a good product
3- free sample moves for marketing
4- bigger range of movies, think they quote 30,000
5- download to burn - its an option, maybe not everyone taking it up but its another sales tool
6- clearer cost charges I find your one or two ticket thing confusing, with aebn the price is next to each movie making it clear on costs
7- banner ranges, much better
8- theatures, easy for webmasters to build
9- 48 hr streaming !! - nice

I could go on but those are just few key points - bottom line price, product & features

sorry mate would love to support a fellow brit rather an a twating yank company but you don't match

OK, all valid points but:

Yes they are cheaper - but we still convert and sell, so is cheaper better for affiliates?
PPM - it's just one model. We deliberately avoided it and it doesn't hurt conversions.
We have 4,000 movies they quote 100,000 I think - does the surfer care? They only have to find one good one...
Download to burn - it's just another model.
We do one-year streaming rentals which is a unique.
Banners... fair point!
Theatres... why not try out one of ours?

Bottom line - you point out correctly that we do things quite differently to AEBN. This is deliberate - don't forget AEBN was already there when we built our site so we had the benefit of seeing what they were doing. The only way to see how the differences affect surfers is give it a try... :)

-these days prices I do think are an issue

- PPM whilst is only another model as you say - but TBH I think its very good and a great way to get a "quick" fix

- 100,000 I did think it was around that but didn't want to rub it in ;o) - as for the numbers, we all know specific genres sell, if your trying to hit the big money terms like adult movies/vod/porn you'll going to struggle to get SE traffic, although saying that I've been sat at number one for streaming adult movies for sometime, but getting back to the numbers by having 100,000 movies means you can produce very targeted keyword genre pages that stand a chance of ranking, for example I just put a page up for sissy maid streaming porn, how many titles do you have? - so yes numbers do count if you want to build specific search term pages, if your just hitting anal or fetish then yes the numbers don't matter

- personally if your going to stream a movie why bother with a year! really don't get that market

my next vod site I will try your system as like I've said before AEBN are SHIT with marketing traffic sent from webmasters, but comparing the product you don't come close - sorry Jerry

We have just dropped AEBN after nearly 10 years promoting them.

Tigger
08-15-08, 01:33 PM
why? - other than useless twats

I've been promoting them for 6 years and whilst my income for the last 12 months has held despite a good increase in traffic, I just put that down to tubes & the shit ecom right now

they do have some good cuckold stuff! - which I would have thought right up your street

It's to compete against download (but better IMHO). The user build up their virtual online collection and can watch at any time without saving anything locally. This is the direction Virgin and the BBC are going with their VoD services - why download when it's always available?

My favourite episode was when they were tracking down the terrorists and arresting Irish building workers.

but if your going to want the movie for a year - why not just download the thing then its done! - but it doesn't get away from the real issue they are cheaper than you

Plus Jerry, do you not find your site confusing? I just looked for the first time in a couple of months and was expecting to see prices next to films not links to buy tickets - with AEBN - you have three options each one has the cost so you know straight away what is going to cost

Ours sales with them have died at just about the same time that tube sites have grown. Just more money to be made elsewhere. :)

arrrrrr - think the way forward with streaming/aebn is very niche markets, which not meaning to screw the knife in with Jerry is where the 100,000 movies coming in handy - in the last few weeks I've added some bbw porn star profiles onto a site and for most of them I was able to find a good selection of movies -
