Why do webmasters spam webmaster forums with free porn? are they that bad at marketing their sites or are they just stupid?

Do they really expect to make a sale from a webmaster board?

i find the way Porn City handles this quite interesting. they made an own subforum for webmasters to spam their galleries n shit and list it as first forum as well, keeping the surfers well out of the webmaster forums.
