pics from today
as a non photographer webmaster, but keen amateur don't you think these would be a lot better if you used better lighting so you don't get such heavy shadows?

Not sure he even uses lights. Look closely and you can see movement on the models hands.
Todays cell phones take great pics. A camera costing $300 can take an very good picture. Trying to kid the surfer that amateur is about the quality of the picture is foolish. He sees a crap picture before he sees the amateur model.
DVT is improving all the time though.
thats an improvement !!! FFS I can take better with my little casio 12.1 (how times are changing when a compact pulls out 12.1 mega pic's) , which BTW for a compact camera is a great tool just to throw in your pocket

not to bad, but that stone stuff that they put on council houses (can't remember what its called as not seen it for 20 years) apart from being horrile, it doesn't say "posh" exactly does it.

Posh to me isn't tattoos, council houses, nipple piercings and bad boob jobs.

I would say attention to detail needed, but it isnt detail you lack its the whole concept of what you are trying to do is just all wrong

if i were in your position, i would drop the poshwife theme and promote 'real british mums' or something... personally i think your content has a market but the current marketting angle is wrong.

Id read your posts every day, rightly or wrongly, i find them light-hearted and enjoyable - and i mean no offence, often very amusing.
maybe use it as a bit of a traffic trap sort if thing?

I am happy to provide them with more stuff.
But I could not realy do it myself as I am dislexic and would find it realy hard to to.
But as I say anyone he wants to do it, feel free.
I could write some guff each day and email you it.
Plus pics and stuff.

Ummm the spelling is what makes it most of the time - dont change it, just go with it as it is and you wil be surprised by the results!

As I say somone could do it, and use there affiliate code to get 50%.
I would be happy to promote the site too.
But if I did it on my own it would soon, go bel;ly up.
I would have more fun doing such a thing with another person or persons.
Mabe have a few such sites going with different people doing them.

Adam, it's not just the blog idea. It's your whole approach. If you HONESTLY set out your stall saying "I am as mad as a bag of chips. I pay ugly birds 20 quid to get their tits out. I drive a crazy car and dress up like a clown" It would work. Not pretending your models are posh wives. Just being HONEST. All you would need to do is make your sites have a little bit more of your personality in them. Not pretend they are great sites, just work on the DVT aspect of them.
Your banners, your tours, your marketing. Just be real.
Like put buttons/flowers on the tour, and post comments saying 'people think I am made for doing this, but you will all wank over the pics if I dont".
Etc.
All the things we mock you for, put into the sites.
But, you still won't get it. JT's been trying for years to make you realise this is an excellent idea. Hey ho.

As a photographer, I am always keen to encourage people in the "Art" - so I don't want to be too negative....
But people DO care about shadow and blurred fingers. Look at the work of Daktari Lorenz (he of Milena Velba /Nadine Janssen / Miosotis etc fame) he's "only" doing porn - but he is without doubt one of the best photographers around in ANY field
His control of lighting is sublime and his choice of backdrops / set dressing is superb.
Lighting is what its all about....those strong shadows shout "home polaroid" no matter how good a model of the setting is....and they mitigate aginst "posh" in any sense of the word.
Forget about all the 12 megapixel etc stuff - size isnt everything - I do all my work on a Canon D60 (7 or 8 years old) its "only" 7mpx but would knock the spots off ANY 12mpx "point n shoot" ...lens quality has a huge outcome!
Forget the tech camera arguments - if you want to improve your shooting, get some lights. I could take better pics with a box brownie and good lighting than many folk could do with a top of the range billy bollox 58gigapixel happy snappy compact and its built in flash...(Ps im not saying that to "big myself up", but to show that lighting is the key..after all the very word photography means "drawing with light")

And thats only a problem if you are trying to portray something else - if the desired outcome is amateur then it hits the nail on the head. Nothing puts me off so called amateur porn more than perfect models with perfect skin shot perfectly in a studio with great lighting - its all about the fantasy and his stuff is what punters in that niche want to see.
From what I can pick up, the shots are not meant to portray posh - the idea is that the girls are meant to be posh totty roughing it for a few quid behind their husbands backs though I dont doubt that the debate on whether any of them actually look like posh totty could go on for a while :fighting0097:
Those are the best DVT photos I've seen yet.

couldnt agree more the model does not portray posh and neither does the location (council house looking) try chav wife!
