Just about to embak on a development of an adult content provider site and just wondered how many on this forum buy content-rather than just link to affiliates.
Also those that do-what is your faivorite content provider?

I totally disagree and its in the public domain. I join a programme and then either copy all the content they give away for free so no watermarks are showing of course, or ask for a pass to the site then take everything on there. Its so much cheaper to set up your own paysite.

I see a difference in one "using programme content" for advertising purpose (as the programme offers it in return expect you to promote their product with it.)
However if you start let's say a paysite and fill the membersarea with movies from other paysite, without paying for itm this in my eyes is theft.
Same with free and tube sites in my opinion. If a affiliate programme shoots girls for their promotion, and you offer them on your free site without even promoting the programme, whats in it for the programme? catch my point here?

i would suspect most people buy from one place (who they have done for a long time and trust them).
The problem with new chaps is that somtimes things go wrong. ie models claim they did not sign a model release, and all sorts of things.
As a new chap doing content, your going to have to build up a lot of relationships, and if there is a missunderstanding with just one person, you may find your name splashed all over as mud.
While selling content will (with luck) make you cash, long term your better off doing your own site with your own content.

I once got a set of pics to put on a avs site. They sent me a copy of the release and stuff.
A few months later the model emailed me saying that the set of pics i had was not what she signed. it turned out ok in the end, but i realised for me it was easer in the long run to shoot my own.

The other problem is that while you buy the set of pics, some content providers may limit what you can do with them. ie use them on fhg, banners, given away as free content for affiliates to use.

the latest was a problem where somone has got content from a provider, but the photographer is now complaining and emailing every site he sees the banner (with a pic he took) to tell them to take it down.
not sure you see it happen every month, but I have had stuff sold to me from well known big providers only to get dmca served and forced to take it down and get my money back/replacement

Look around the boards and see the established content providers discounting like mad or cutting back or closing. Today is not a good time to get into the content market.
Unless you bring skills that cut you apart from the rest. Can you shoot for Penthouse, Playboy or Hustler? If so show us the proof. If you're in the situation of never shot porn you're dead in the water today. And no I'm not scared you will take what's left of the content business we have.
Many clueless clowns have for the last 5 years told everyone non exclusive is saturated. It was a lie but sadly many believed it.

Maybe I got the wrong end of your stick lol - sorry mate. I am able to shoot good content-but as i said before am just embarking on it and setting things up. Your stuff is very good and not your average cyber crap-which im sure pays dividends. I too hope to offer such good quality stuff.

I will be also shooting quality exclusive stuff mainly for publishers-which will be seperate from the rest and publishers will have to sign in to see it.

Not posting, does not give people a great deal of confidence.
Put it this way, your stuff may make people go 'wow.
Otherwise you end up being one of a zillion people who post on these sites with your big ideas and what your going to do, but in the end you become somone who posted and had a lot of big ideas.
It reminds me when i was at school. Most of the clever kids said they were going to uni. I was not that bright but wanted to go. I went for it, and got a degree. All those clever kids simply never bothered. What I mean is, you can be the greatest and cleverist in your subject, but unless you 'do', it aint worth a tin of beans.

Most are shit. You do something good people will buy. One problem though. People want to pay peanuts and there are plenty of people willing to sell for peanuts.

Tough market, tough audience and tough sector. If you had only told them you were going to be an affiliate and wanted to send them traffic they would be falling over themselves to get you to send them 50 hits a day.

So you have a TLD and the design and shopping cart are in place plus a decent processor that can work with the needs of a content store.

if you have all of the above in place then I would say by the time you have done enough shoots to open the store it will be after Xmas, unless you are doing a few shoots every day and shooting for at least 5 -6 hours per day.
If you are still waiting to get a TLD, design blah blah blah, then by the time you are ready we will have long forgotten about you, which might not be a bad thing cos at the moment I wouldn't buy from you anyway, not that you have anything to sell.

Not bad but not great, the composition is a bit off, rule of thirds is like all rules and should be broken. It could have worked if you had the head on the third and the body not, but to have it all on the third just makes it look like you have cropped it wrong in the camera. It seems like you have read about the rule of thirds and have, well over done it really.
Also maybe a tad too much depth of field maybe open up a stop or two or try focusing more in the middle instead of on the head, then it should fall into focus right through.

You have it on the third in both directions, there is too much distracting in the background, there is too much pulling the eye out. the rule of thirds works well when its subtle, yours is about as subtle as a train crash.
