View Full Version : How Long In Advance Do You Think The Soaps Record Their CiN Sketches?
I assumed quite in advance.. Until I saw the Eastenders/Catherine Tate sketch tonight. Either it was highly coincidental, or they recorded it today.
Stacey: Kat told me you can sleep with anyone you want as long as you don't get caught on camera..

How sad watching children in need.
I will not watch it. It gets my goat all these very very rich second rate actors asking people to hand over there cash.
Lets face it, they only do it for publicity.
I was so please to see Gost Busters on ch4. Who are you going to call?.... Gost Busters........

Like footballers doing an appearance to help raise £100,000 when they could easily donate a few day's salary/sponsorship and do away with the fuss...
David Beckham giving away £100,000 is like me putting £1 in a charity box.
Children in need is very nice, but if the super rich gave proportionally as much as the average person, CiN would raise a hell of a lot more each year...

True.
Also I do not like to be made to feel that I have to give. Or indeed to which charity.
To be honest, I get annoyed at children in need. Sure they may raise a few million, but so what.
We are in the UK. No child in the UK should ever need charity. It should be provided by the state. Also childline should be paid for by the state.
I still fail to understand why we have homeless in the UK. We seem to be able to provide homes for refugees (which I have no problems with) but fail to provide for homeless.
Those who are alcoholics and on drugs should be sectioned under the mental health act and be made to come off drugs.
From what I can see children in need a back door tax to provide children with what they should be getting anyway.
Sorry, I just got political.

You're right. But what do you do - say the government should do it and let it all go to hell, or give money? But of course what kind of cuntry (whoops) is it where the children's welfare has to be bolstered by telethons?!
If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would say it is a cynical ploy by the military-industrial-entertainment complex to give people "warm fuzzies" and make them feel they live in a country that cares...
But I'm neither political nor a conspiracy theorist, thank fuck :Penis
I NEVER feel like I have to give anything. I'm just not particularly charity minded.
But I do love a live show/variety show. It has nothing to do with the giving aspect. If you can't watch it without feeling guilty for not giving anything that's your problem lol
Chas n Dave performed, what more is there to say.
I would have given money for Chas'n'Dave not to perform.
