is it just me, or has the location for AOExpo (http://www.aoexpo.com/) in November been changed from Berlin to Amsterdam?

surely i wasn't hallucinating when the screens said 'see you in Berlin' in Prague?

Thats the best place for it - I have been to quite a few now and Prague really sucks, the venue is so split up you spend more time going up and down in liftsthen getting to talk.

In Amsterdam it works wel as the venue is well and Dam square provides a good place to network too. Saying this is will be freezing cold in November so sitting in the sun or walking the RDL won't be fun - prob why they have done it!

i find it highly annoying that we were told Berlin on the bye-bye screens and have to find out now (and only cos i wanted to look up the exact dates Prague was on) that it's been moved to Amsterdam. pity they seem to return to the same places again and again now, so much for the difference between the US meetings and the european ones - they could have made an effort to tie in more places and make it possible for more guys to come to one conference at least.

ah well.

It is odd - but Amsterdam is now hosting Webmaster Access and AOE which could be good

No - I don't think that is a good plan :)

To be fair if you are doing an adult event then the only place it should be set up is Amsterdam -

ANYONE from anywhere in the EU can get there for very little cost, when you get there its easy to move about without having to taxi everything.

What we have to take into account is that AOE / WTm is 80% teleco companies - the adult stuff is still in it development stage though its bigger each year.

Here's another one for you - the german laws are really anti adult - a surfer must no go to the local post office to complete a form, then fax it to the site owner to prove their age. They also have their own shows in Berlin on a regular basis and people like sexmoney run work shops for German webmasters each month.

now that deserves a proper WHAT THE FUCK?

that is not true at all. i for one will not go to Amsterdam, cos the flights during the week are ridiculous and driving 1000km for 2 days isn't worth it. and no, a longer stay doesn't make sense either, Amsterdam in Novemeber is definitely not something i'd like to see.

if you wanna talk easy and cheap to reach, it would have to be London.

and the location has what exactly to do with that circumstance?

cheers for that info. i trust i know at least as much about the german situation as you do, as we make use of their luck, but thanks anyways.
what you fail to tell us is what this has to do with the location? will the AOE now show adult material to passing pedestrians?

edited to add on: your knowledge about the german laws seems outdated, BTW. face-to-face is the key.

They also have their own shows in Berlin on a regular basis

and Amsterdam hasn't?

so fucking what?

would you want to inform us why you wish to divide the adult market in Europe by all means? what's with your "them" and "we" kinda approach?
