Had a few run ins with CC london regarding paying the congestion charge

The website is down and you cant use that to pay.
There are NO phone numbers on the site, neither does it tell you alternative ways to pay
You have to register on the site to pay by SMS. But see above, site isnt working..
You HAVE to pay cash in the very few shops that take your money for the CC

last year we went on holiday and a friend ran us to Heathrow then he drove into London and didnt tell me
weeks later a bill for £80...I disputed it and whilst i did it seemed to double every fourteen days I ended up paying over £400. and verbally threatened a baliff (Yes i let it get that far I WANTED A FIGHT BY THAT TIME)

I also calculated the interest rate to be in the thousands

This time I actually found the relevent info to pay on the BBC site!!!!

I dont know about you but when i go into London i usually have better things to do than pay someone a miserable £8 and by the next day i am usually unable to walk and talk never mind find £8 somewhere and then find some method of payment

AM i alone in thinking they dont want you to pay the £8 but really want you to have forgotten or give up trying to pay and charge you £80

Can we please hand over the CC charging to the Ukrainians they seem a lot fairer

Could be worse, could be stuck in a traffic jam. :)

The jams are manufactured now to keep us off the road....Livingston has admitted to setting the traffic lights to cause disruption

Nothing to do with long lines of Mums in Range Rovers taking the little darlings half a mile to school?

ah the price of living in London, to be fair I dont think you need car in you live in London / Greater London.

As for the CC I am all for it and think that £5 (when I payed last time) is not enough, I think the same thing should be introduced across the country to prevent so many cars heading in.

I have a friend that lives near Liverpool Street, they are exempt from paying the CC though only on one of their motors. Onlything I can say mate is that when it comes to fines and stuff anything issued by local athourities goes up pretty quickly if you don't pay or pay late.

Take York for example, you just cant get a car in there these days how ever they have made a very good park and ride system. Wont your mate pay the bill if he took the car into town?

Ex Fucking Zactly..... Dont even start me on that one. The whole country grinds to a halt everyday just before school starts and just after it finishes.

Its fine when you live in london as we didnt have a car for the two years we lived in W1
but I dont live there now and need a car to get around town

But why is it always the fault of women in 4x4's
4x4s take the same parking space as a smart car in London

smart/city cars are pointless in a city where each parking space is the same size
and do they congest less??......dont think so
