Good, but do they do thermal image mapping, moisture testing, temperature monitoring, insulation resistance, coil impedance testing and response analysis on their power transformers :)

Superb! Do they have an reseller program, I wonder? I'm quite smitten with the LAMP server, that's going to make for a lot of downtime. I wish more hosts would follow their business plan. Nice find, Rogue.

Is that Velcom hosting? I believe they must have bought the domain themselves to prove what a crap host they are.

I had an old virtual account sitting on there from the very beginning of my webmastering days, that had some sites on it making Ok money, could never be arsed to move them to a dedicated box - anyway, things were ticking over. The other week, the sites suddenly went down, so I mailed support as you do - I got a very polite "we appologoze for the problem" - so I asked when things would be fixed, they said they couldn't give me an estimate. After 24 hours of this I moved all my sites but one to my big box at Webair - then monitored the situation and kept pounding support, only to receive more and more apologozzes, but a server had crashed and they were moving the data to a new server.

This, in the end, took them over 6 days. It takes a while to setup a server and copy the sites to it, they explained... I was paying on an annual cycle for some reason, and the terms and conditions state that if you cancel giving 30 days notice, you get whatever you've overpaid refunded - so I told Velcom to close my account, and refund me what I was owed. They told me to fuck off basically, and said they would give me another three months of their crap unreliable hosting with incompetent technical support with literacy that makes DV times look like a Nobel Prize winner for Literature...

So in this mini review of Velcom hosting, they basically win the prize above the nouptime site - and are thieves, cheats and liars to boot. I am happy to give up the cash these fucking thieving cunts owe me just to be free of them once and for all. They were actually pretty good at the beginning, but in the end Velcom ended up being the worst host I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. And I am not the only one according the Velcom reviews you read at the hosting review sites. Fuckers.

Ah, that feels better :cheer:
