View Full Version : Pulling out of adult, moving into real estates
not sure how real the real estates are though....
Gamer buys virtual space station (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4374610.stm) for 100k US$ (official release (http://www.project-entropia.com/StdContent.ajp?Id=2039))
he plans to convert it into a virtual night club and make up to 20k monthly.
madness? you sure?
Treasure Island (6000 Acres/25 kmē) - Auction has Expired, final bid 265 000 PED (26 500 USD) (https://www.project-entropia.com/Content.ajp?id=1346)
this guy set up a tax system and rents out space on the island. he made more money than he paid already. pretty sure he knows what he is doing.

I thought it was just non real money, but it seems like its real cash?
Seems mad that people are buying somthing that does not exsist.
my first thought too. but is it that far from buying the fantasy porn buyers tend to be triggered by?

I have never played the game so I am really talking about something I know nothing about (and before you say it, I normally talk about stuff I know nothing about).
One thought is that those big spenders are just fake, set up to promote the game/site.
What seems to be good ways to make money is to create the characters and bits in the game then sell them.
Even though I am no game player, I am interested in the game now to see what its like.
I am not sure what the rules they have, but if you know what your doing, I would set up a virtual strip club inside and see if people would pay to watch virtual strippers.
But I do think that if you know what your doing you could make good money in such virtual games.
we already do make good money from selling something virtual, a fantasy. hardly any porn buyer whips out their CC cos they want access to a product, they want their fantasy catered to.
when you say it's a good idea to create characters and items to sell off, they are just as unreal as the island and space station are, just smaller (as far as anything non existant can have a size) and cheaper. you are well on the way there. and i mean that in a positive manner.

I take it you have to buy the game.
I was thinking is there anywhere on the net that provides a virtual universe software for free, but its down to hose who log on to create the world.
A true cyberspace world.
I can see the net being used big time in this way.
Also internet TV.
As the net speeds up and it becomes cheaper to log in, it will create many more possibilities.
In truth, I think anyone who is only into porn websites will struggle more and more as new possibilities emerge.
For those who are the first into this new cyberspace reality, there will be big bucks to be made.
you download the software for free, no extra costs, no monthly membership fee. the exchange rate is always 10 virtual $ are 1 US$.
obviously with 300k users there'll be an enormous amount of money paid into the virtual currency accounts, which they can work with and make more money.

now i am intersted
what is the site address?
http://www.project-entropia.com/
it was twice in the original post ;)
i am by now rather fascinated about a simple idea being such a clever one in the long run. they have interest free millions at hand to work with and it's unlikely every player will pull out their money on the same day, so there is enough time for them to fold properly, should it become less popular at some point.

Interesting... downloading it now to see if my virtual cosh will work for a virtual mugging so I can cash in my ill gotten PEDs :eyebrows:
It's similar to that game Final Fantasy Online.
Popular all over the world but really capatalised on in Asia/Japan regions where they snap up each new RPG that comes out like free confuci.
It's probly legit, these zany folks spend/buy anything related to these online RPG's to get one up on the other mofo's playing it. I think from memory earlier this year one Japanese player was stabed at a gaming place because some other mofo sold some "weapon item" to someone else and not him.
Goes to show how serious some people take things in life.

Hmmm... I know virtual can sell because people are selling items in virtual games like EQ and WoW. But a virtual night club online I'm not so sure about. Sounds like one big chat room.
