What do you think is the most important factor in your TGP gallery design that converts the surfer into a customer?

Just my 2 cents :)

1. Good content - Which is preferably video now in our particular case.

2. Short and to the point text to *sell* the product and prompt the click-through.

3. Must be fast loading. Absolutely *staggered* at the UK sites that would convert very well kill sales dead with cheap or free hosting which loads at 1995 dial-up speeds even on 8MB broadband. We dropped one particular UK sponsor because of this a couple of weeks back. Bandwidth is so fucking cheap now that if you cant use premium hosting even for submitting movies to the Hun several times a week then you are in the wrong business.

4. *If* you use design graphics at all its better to have the gallery look like a part of the sponsor site so that the click-through is seamless.

What he said :)

The only thing that I can add to that is if Im doing a full scene and clipping into segments is I describe the full scene in text I think it helps the CTR if the punter can read what he is missing.

Also Im finding a gallery with longer movies but less of them converts better than a gallery with a lot of shorter movies on.

Good point and a longer video together with a few photos works well too but this is usually only good for FHGs due to TGP rules.

The most important thing is to get listed, might sound obvious, but how many people make galleries that would never get listed by the places they send them to.

Fucking loads

Well obviously we are talking about what makes a good gallery, and good galleries get listed, not all the time though ;)
