Conversion ratio question

Can someone tell me the usual average conversion ratio

our site is new and this is the first time i have looked at figures after the initial few months sales

I have one affiliate with a ratio of 1:52.6

its great for my overall ratio

so whats normal no.... BS now :ninja:

Anything from that to 1:5000 It just depends how the surfers sends you traffic. If from blind links/trading scripts, the conversion will be crap as your site may not be the one the surfer really wants :)

Im usually happy with something better than 1:400 to 1:500, although my tour 1 converts 1:100 odd overall.

I have some sponsors where I've advertised them and im sitting at 1:7000!!! I ditch those.

Yup, there is about a bazillion factors that determine ratios. Rough ball park figure wise anything from 1:100 to 1:5000 Is about the norm.

An absolute average? Well put it this way, it ain't 1:52.6! In fact I doubt for most it would have been a third of that even 4 or 5yrs ago.

How long's a piece of string? That would depend on which ball it was cut from.

I concur with the 1:1 - 1:5000 estimate. Different affiliates send different traffic, some good, some shit.

I find with most sites 1:300

But some sites I USED to promote were like 1:10000 or more.

but it totally depends on how targetted the traffic is..

Yep, it depends totally on what you're promoting and the type of traffic. I have a DVD site that gets 90% search engine traffic gets around 1:70. Other normal porn sites anything up to about 1:1000
