do stand alone text list work?

was thinking of trying a experiment with one of my domains to just have description text links instead of thumbs or pics..like a ultimate list of that particular niche....

One page with text links, one with thumbs, trades with thumb sites and the text trade with text site

er whats the script? thinking comus can do this too and wont be a load on server....there i go again wanting things automated!
