Is it 4 stroke or two stoke?

remeber to wear goggles and buy a good pair of ear protectors, as otherwise your ears will ring.

if its 2 stroke do not forget to add the 2 stroke oil.

i had a petroll hedge trimmer. they are heaver than you think as your holding it away from you which takes more effert than you think.

but do invest in some good protection as otherwise you could hurt yourself. it may be worth getting a full face mask.

no seriously, those things fire bits all over.

wear a face mask or glasses as a min.

make sure you wear ear things too.

and also gloves.

i say that as you will find the vibrations will get to you. i know from experiencce.

if you can get a full face mask.

i would also wear steel toe cap boots in case you drop it.

i heard about somone who choped his toes off and do not realise till he looks dows and could see the blood.

OK I will admit I will be a girl and get some saftey goggles.

in this case your not being a girl.

i bet once you use the chainsaw you will find bits flying all over. thats why if you can, get a full face mask, they are not expensive.

also wear ear protectors as you will otherwise have a buzzing in your ears for ages.

also not sure if you have got the chainsaw yet, but go for a smaller one rather than large, as i say it gets very heavy once you use it as your holding it, in front of you. and your arms will be sore very quick.

and do wear big boots.

also it may be worth doing it in a few days time, as not sure what its like near you, its a bit wet and windy in leeds. if you can do it in the dry with less wind.

i would sugest cutting off as many branches as you can first.

unless the trees are big, you may be as well just using a saw. live wood is not that hard to cut through as its much softer than dried out wood.

thar hardest part is removing the roots.

if they are conifers then they tend to be easer to remove as the roots do not spread.

you could cut the trees down and leave about 3 foot as they may branch up and create a smaller tree. this may look better than just a stump.

I might film it myself, I thought maybe a chainsaw might have a giro type of feel, no not your fortnightly benefit, I mean like when you lose control cos of the spinning. Obviously that ain't a problem cos a chain doean't do that, or does it?

you will find a lot of vibration. thats why i sugest you wear gloves to soften the affect on you.
