View Full Version : Buying good wine and champagne online?
Just a quick and rather embarrassing question, can anyone recommend a *good* fast and reliable wine merchant online as I want to order two cases of Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne?
I know this stuff is seen as some kind of status symbol by some webmasters but we have a lot of important family celebrations going on between now and Christmas and would prefer to order online rather than have to place special orders and then lug the boxes home.
There are a few places on Google but want to make sure that its actually dispatched ASAP and arrives here safely.
When I fancy a few glasses of Louis I always use http://www.bbr.com Also if you want to send me a bottle, hit me up and I'll give you my address :cheers2:

Am I right in thinking this stuff is like £200 a bottle for the most recent vintage?

Great thanks and I will see if they have any in stock. :)

Surely it's only a status symbol to those who know what it is.
Now if you was talking Pamagne :lmao2:

Do you mean Pomagne? We used to give that away on the "rings & blocks" back in the 70s :)

Pamagne? Isn't that similar to lumbrasco? :lmao2:
We use virgin wines - they sell at discounted prices and always deliver by the following day

Yeah that's the one, I always remember as teenagers we would go to fates and things and always win a bottle :cheers2:
SGS..
A man after my own heart... The only champagne I can drink :)
Try Majestic. I've used them is the past and as said before "Virgin" :)
All champagne tastes like cat piss to me - I prefer coke :(
My Dad's really into his wines and spends an arm and a leg on expensive cat piss - I'm assuming I'll develop a taste for cat piss as I get older.

Thanks and I will give them a look. I don't actually drink at all but we have a few celebrations going on so I thought I had better do the decent thing. :)

I can still feel the Pomagne hangovers :lmao2:
I gave up sniffing coke after the bottle got stuck up my nose the first time I tried it and the bubbles made me sneeze :)

Hahaha… Saw that Daniella Westbrook (uno nostril) thing on again last night.
What a mess.
I bet she wishes she went for Cristal. :)
This champagne thread reminds me of something that happened to a couple of my friends...
They got in on the fake "Millennium" champagne scam... They rented a lock up, bought 6 large plastic bins and invested in the cheap plonk. They soaked these over night to get the labels off then relabled them with the fakes. They worked day nd night for two weeks on this prohect till they had a large supply ready to deliver.. They sold the initial batch PDQ, and so invested all the profits and more in a refill... Only one prob.. The scam was exposed and none of their customers would buy another drop.. I think they're still drinking the crap now, 5 years on... LOL
