Just off the phone with the people at Webstream and they've had their ability to process pulled on them.

They are in the process of contacting all the merchants now, so heads up if you process through them.

That explains why I saw the following on a site yesterday.

"Unfortunately we are temporarily unable to process credit cards at this time, please check back in a few days.

message posted on 8th Feb 2008"

surely the next move has to be getting hold of his customer database, there are clearly 1000s of Graham Coutts, no?

i also like how they spread out the model's real name in detail.

Doesn't suprise me. They really did process some iffy stuff...they never felt the need to answer a direct question, so that's why we never bothered with them.

I guess it's a lesson to all of us to be careful who we process with and check some of their other merchants. My fault. :(

Tough thing is finding someone who will process larger amounts.

Over the years we've come to the sad conclusion that there simply is NO way around the American compliance issues. So now we shoot with compliance in mind and keep the really fun stuff for private play.

Webstream's demise saddens me, but really doesn't suprise me.
