Strictly Broadband is excellent for UK movies and content - the downsides, however, are the cost to the punter to rent and that you have to buy a whole movie rather than a scene or even minute by minute.

On the other hand aebn.net offer mostly overseas (US) content with a small amount of UK creeping in there slowly including studios like Relish but they have rates as low as 8 cents per minute and you can view on demand so you can watch 5 mins of a movie decide its not for you and then move on to another having only paid 40 cents for the privelege. Another downside of aebn.net is that appears to often be oversubscribed resulting in 404 errors and time outs which is very annoying.

If SB were to offer a pay per scene option (not necessarily saying they should do a pay per minute) then they would be dogs dangly bits but as it stands I think £5.99 + for a movie rental is expensive for what you get but, having said that, if UK movies are what you are after then give them a good look!
