I am already bored to fucking death on this long drawn out crap. Why does it have to go on for so long? Does it take longer to sink in over there or something?

Boring to us, as its not our politicians.

Imagine for one second OUR politicans had to spend as much time explaining themselves, live on TV. Not just fighting it out with the opposing side, but also, as now, their own? But hey ho, if you are happy with the way we elected Brown then there's nothing to worry about.

Well, at least it's ONE way to prevent the election of phonies like

At least the primaries give you a chance to test their bona fides.

I'll be voting today as well! ("overseas" primary).

You are seriously deluded if you think that it checks out any more than their bank balance or ability to get idiots to back them.

You're probably right.

But I'm absolutely sure that if Hillary gets the nods, the Dems will get their asses kicked yet again. And that would be a disaster.

Poor performance in the primaries convinced Edwards that is wasn't his time, even though he had the best shot. Too bad.

But what could possibly be worse than that Dubya toadie, Tony Blair? Did anyone actually VOTE for that schmuck?

Very few and fewer less will vote at the next election and then fewer after that.

I'm going to stay up and watch the coverage tonight, but I am a bit of a political junkie.

I agree.

Until such time that they embrace technology & come out of the dark ages with Polling booths, pencil & paper then the volume of voters will continue to decline, people nowadays are too busy & can't be arsed.

I fully realise that doing something as radical as "Online" voting has huge fraud potential (& Ive no idea how they could prevent this 100% ?) but if they really want to get people voting I think they've only got 2 choices, bring the method bang up to date or force, by way of legislation, people to vote such as they do in other Countries like Australia (Pretty sure Aus is one example of such?)

For once I find myself fascinated by the politics of a foreign country (unlike the recent general election in Denmark which was incredibly boring). I think we're seeing history being made in the US at the moment..... assuming neither Clinton or Obama get into the White House, they have both still gone further in politics than any other woman or black man, and both have paved the way for women and ethnic minorities to start to be taken seriously politically in the US. Not something I'd ever imagined seeing in my lifetime.

Me neither. Obama has all the makings of another JFK.

Unfortunately for the next prez, he or she is gonna have one helluva mess to clean up... thanks to that ratfuck Dubya.

One thing to keep in mind about Hillary: She has no problem with censorship.

And she will more than likely clamp down on internet content.

A lot longer - Half the fuckers still think Ford is president and France is North America.
