Quitting cigarettes for the second time in near 15 years of smoking. This time I wont take a cig from mate when offered one after 4 months of no smoking.

Best of luck - I found it tough when I gave up years ago. I tried to associate the cigarettes with being ill. It worked and still does to this day.

I might have to try that!! I spend 10 days on island waiting for the float plane to get through the storms, ran out of smokes on day 7 and as soon as that plane landed at t he dock I ran not walked to get smokoes :)

I quit while being on a kind of tour playing concerts. I was already ill with glandular fever and my liver was messed up. Then to finish the job I smoked a ton of Lambert and Butlers and JPS that were 25-30 years old. Then quit

If you have problems with the quitting, try getting your doctor to prescribe Zyban - blooming excellent stuff from what I've seen. Keep meaning to try it myself, twenty odd years of smoking has turned me into quite a pathetic fag addict.
