I can see it. So how come when I submit to toplists the script says 404? Thought it was hotlink issue but disabled protection and it still wouldn't work.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

When you paste the url into a browser it goes to your 404 page, so you must have the url wrong somewhere.

Tried switching hotlinking on and off and also putting the URLs of the toplists into the 'exemption list' for hotlink protection. No joy.
At first the URL of the banner took me to my 404 page but when I kept trying again it took me to my banner.
I'm stumped.

lol.......Now when I try it the same URL that took me to my banner is taking me to 404. It seems the same URL is alternating between the image and 404.

well the strange thing is his images folder is still open, you can go in there and click an image link and it'll show but they dont appear on the boards (i tried posting a couple but got red X's)

Does sound like an htaccess problem as you can click on the link from the images folder and it shows, but you cannot type the name in and you cannot click on a link from another domain such as the one Rogue posted. So there is a line blocking access from any referrer other than the domain brit-porn.org

Definately a .htaccess issue file is named BRIT-PORN which is the same as the sites root url thus the conflict. Just rename it to something else.

I think it is due to the name of the banner conflicting with htaccess as well. Try renaming it and report back.

Also, to avoid future problems with your Wordpress iinstallation, remove all white space at these points

As for the WP bit of htaccess, close it up to look like this and make sure there are no blank spaces at the end of it as well

In your stats, if you see a huuuuuge amount of bandwidth being used by a certain site then just add it. To be honest I wouldn't even get my knickers in a knot over hotlinking.

I for one keep the directories seperate. I have a directory that typical hotlinkable graphics (gallery pics and the like) go in with a htaccess disabling hotlinking altogether, nd a directory that graphics I'm going to need hotlinking enabled (banners/thumbs for toplists/tgps etc) on in another directory with unrestricted access.
