I think it depends on the phone, i can play movies on my phone but obviously other phones have less memory and so play shorter clips.

I've got stuff on my phone thats about 20 mins long and I could quite easily fit movies on there too.
Really depends on the memory of the handset, standard these days is about 90meg on board memory, then at the other end of the spectrum you've got iphones that have 8gig. Most phones support some kind of SD card or SDHC card. So people can upgrade.

Depends on the memory card. I can play up to 50 MB on mine and could go to 1 GB.

8 gig cards are really cheap nowadays. 60 bucks or something.
