Buy food
My mates sister is a high ranking doctor.
She has been told to bulk up with food and water because of bird flu. The reason is if it does hit, there will be so many ill that deliveries will not be made to supermarkets, and people will panic buy.
Also if you are ill you may be forced to stay at home due to emergency quarantine laws.
shall we buy chickens or just infected bsb meat? :)

"The reported symptoms of avian influenza in humans have ranged from typical influenza-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, sore throat and muscle aches, to eye infections, pneumonia, and shortness of breath."
I've had all but 2 of these symptoms for the last 2 days!

Gangbang Rosie is at deaths door.
Mind you, it's been reported she enjoys the company of a cockatoo.

I've had most of those symptoms for the last week or so. But I'm veggie and haven't had any close contact with our feathered friends lately. My girlfriend is half Indonesian though, has been socialising with new asian students at her university, and has also come down with a sore throat. I'm not worried, but FUUUUUCK!
Anyway I'm already stocked up with bottled water and baked beans in case of zombie apocalypse. So I'll be fine.

However, the government might advise people to avoid non-essential travel in a bid to slow the spread of the virus, he acknowledged.
..........
But this would not affect air travel, he said.
clever man. i once boarded a plane to Greece. a fucking stupid cunt with a massive cough and running nose boarded as well. i knew she would spread that shit through the plane's air conditon. and so she did. i felt dead when i left the plane in Greece, had a week's worth of fever and shit, IOW half my holiday was in bed not performing deviant sex acts, and on the flight back i heard quite a number of people who i knew from the flight 2 weeks ago complain about being ill for a week and more as well, all decribing the same fever and shit.
i'd say this Donaldson is the inbreed he looks like, if he spouts such crap.

I cant imagine staying in for weeks or months - I get restless if i dont go out once a day!!
As for stockpiling food, we cant stockpile healthy food, just tinned bullshit so whats the point.

Yup! Well like I said more or less - its a procedure called a Gastric Bypass, going in next Wednesday to hopefully gain the life I have never allowed myself to have and to begin to live the rest of my life as I should have been living it up to now.

healthy food. you mean the stuff they call organic? grown by organic farms. watered with the same water every other farm uses. the water containing more and more drugs and shit because we feed ourselves and our elders with 5 different drugs a day so we can grow 100 years old, putting a pressure on the pension system that was never calculated when the system was set up. drugs that make us a biological and chemical hazard when we die and get buried. drugs we pee and poo and flush down the toilet where they end up in the sewage plants which they pass and enter the rivers where some sorts of fish start being female only because of all the estrogen remainders pissed and pooed and flushed into the previously mentioned toilets.
that sorta food, yes?
gimme a tin any day, cannot be much worse, can it? :D

not necessarily organic just not empty calories :)

If you stockpiled some chickens it would be an organic way of stockpiling food that's not tinned (although you would get it from the chickens). If you have room, a couple of cows and a magic beanstalk would also come in handy.
There's always something round the corner. It will turn out the whole bird flu thing is something Bush's military has been working on and a stray specimen took it out of the lab...
If it happens I'm holing up in the Trafford Centre so it will be like Dawn of the Dead or Stephen King's The Stand (Captain Trips, now there was a killer flu virus!)

matter of factly that's a thought i had in regards to SARS. a nasty virus out of nowhere, evolving faster than most viri on record, hitting China after giving the US some nice slaps.
which reminds me, what happened to SARS anyway? just out of the headlines since ages or really disappearing again? if the latter, wow, that was a short lived strain.

if we have loads of models on our books should we worry about bird flu and start shooting loads of content now just in case????
Only 120 people WORLDWIDE have died of this flu and thats counting the infected area's
I bet more than 120 old and infirm people die in this county every winter due to Flu Flu . but do we spend millions feeding and keeping them warm ??
If I hear the fucking word "Pandemic" again on the BBC i will put theTV throught a 42" hole in the window.

Actually alot more. Its around 3,000 people in the UK die a year from the flu and in 1989 when we had over 20,000 deaths due to flu in the UK alone

I think we humans might be safe from a flying cat Flu
but a mixture of cats and birds is bad as you would have to kill them 10 times before cooking so KFC costs would spiral.....and prices would rise....not good
