Oops, the answer is:
Yes you are invisible. :P
And the real answer is:
Yes, I think Katie Lee is on this Friday. The cast list will change from week to week - it's still being finalised for this week, because a certain TV channel banned its girls from working on this new channel. :)

You can't have hardcore on TV so it can only go via the interweb,
Inetrnet Protocol Television (IPTV).

Why?
Technology and reducing bandwidth costs and the need of
the studios and distributors to get their content to market
have made it more attractive now to run an ITV channel and make
money.
Factor in that there are no more satellite channels available for
adult, yet.And they could only show softcore, the same with TV.
IPTV has always been the realm of the Telcos, now it is changing
and opening up whole new raft of customers for the adult industry.
There are very few truly hardcore adult IPTV channels available
so white labeling of channels will be very profitable.
IPTV at present does not have the same broadcast constraints as
satellite, cable and TV but it will happen,so until then make hay
whilst the sun shines.
Private have done deals worth millions over the past couple of months
all in the IPV arena.
I was involved in one IPTV channel two years ago. It was free to view
and revenue was to be generated from advertising, an ITV of IPTV
if you will but the business model didn't work then, it could now.
The channel got 500-600 hits on some days,
without any advertising of the channel.
than in the early days.

Ermmmmm you just described YouPorn etc.... great for a quick wank and getting trillions of hits a day....
A fully fledged broadcast live channel is completely different. Forget about all the techonology advances, if you cant watch it on your gogglebox then it will not sell, period....
There's going to be people having sex.
What like youporn ? Hmm how do you think of these idea's ?

Until the home PC is integrated into the TV set, IPTV will never take off properly.
This is happening, 100 million set top boxes delievered inot European homes
already, PC selling the wireless kit that links the PC to your TV.
France has the highest users of IPTV the UK has yet to be gripped by
it.
An IPTV channel alone will not make the required revenue but add
in VOD, download to burn and you have something that can make money.

OK. Let's look at some actual figures and names here shall we?
"Is IPTV just a fad? The numbers are contrary to this theory. IPTV is expected to grow at a fast pace in the coming few years, as broadband is now available to more than 100 million households worldwide. Many of the world's major telecommunications providers are exploring IPTV as a new revenue opportunity for their markets.
Giants like Microsoft, Alcatel and Verizon have joined forces to offer their IPTV solutions. Telcos are shifting money that they previously spent on DSL and spending even less on voice; this goes to show that the old saying 'talk is cheap' and 'there is no business like show business' are still holding true. Just like the cellular revolution, EU and Japan are on the fore front. The difference is that unlike in the past cellular race, USA also looks serious about IPTV.
In 2004, SBC agreed to pay Microsoft $400 million dollars for software to be used to deliver IPTV services to up to 18 million customers. Separately, SBC is investing over 4 billion USD in its network infrastructure to prepare for the rollout, the largest part with Alcatel ($1.7 billion) including access and fiber technologies, IP routing, Ethernet switching solutions, and network systems integration services. Microsoft has stuck IPTV deals with carriers around the world, including Bell Canada, British Telecom, Reliance Infocomm, Swisscom, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telecom's T-Online France, as well as SBC, BellSouth and Verizon in the United States. (It's providing a customized version of its Microsoft TV platform with both digital-cable and IPTV features for Verizon.) Fastweb in Italy, Imagenio, in Spain, Yahoo BB / Softbank in Japan, NOW Broadband TV in Hong Kong, Media on Demand (MOD) in the Republic of China, and Homechoice in the United Kingdom, Bell Canada in Canada, BellSouth in USA, and Reliance Infocomm in India are involved in IPTV. Tube site weren't that big two years ago though.
I know a fully fledged live broadcast channel is completely different and
a hella of lot more expensive to operate and distribute than a standard
IPTV channel.
But having a live broadcast feed into a an IPTV channel can work.
And as I have said the technology for people to watch what has
normally been viewed on their PCs on their TVs is now available.

No I'm suggesting that as a current ADULT business model, it is not viable. The companies you quote can chuck shedloads of money at infrastructure and R&D without blinking...
I know a number of people for whom their TV and PC monitor are the same thing. I thought it was becoming quite common now with flat screens?
The only reason I've not bothered is the fact that the missus would probably get unreasonable if I'm trying to build a lesbo freesite whilst she wants to watch heroes.

Harmony, Vivid and the other high-end labels have been shooting in HD for a while. HD just means the end of the minger. :) If you think the porn fan doesn't want every pixel of gory detail, you're wrong.

Alternatively, *exactly* what you want to watch.
Currently, as a geek, I am well served with IPTV. I watch about 7 hours of IPTV geek content a week, and very little broadcast telly at all. Mostly this is now HD content, that I watch on my telly, sitting on my sofa. TV I am interested in, that is downloaded automatically via RSS, automatically put on my 'magic content watching box', and there for me to view when I chose to.
As soon as there is more take up, there is more chance of someone making exactly the content you want. Classic long tail stuff.

Just because they, and many others, are shooting in HD does not mean porn is driving HD technology
some porn fans might want HD, but again, it doesnt mean porn drives it

There have been IPTV projects going on, up and down the country, that I know of, since 2000. name ONE porn company that had thought of utilising it before then.
To answer your question We were discussing it with BT, Travelodge, the NHS and a few military installations way back in 2000.

Anyone can watch, thanks to this Internet thingie. The point is, this is a British station, broadcasting in English, with British girls (and guys). It fills a niche. Doesn't mean Yanks can't watch if they want to - but I'd assume they prefer to watch Yank girls getting shagged, French want to watch frog girls getting shagged and krauts want to watch German girls getting pooed on.

Yes I understand this internet thingie makes it so anyone can watch but you've missed my point in that by broadcasting live at the hours you mention you are purely targetting UK surfers which surely isnt the biggest market to aim at ?
Your assumption (With your "witty" comments thereafter) I feel is a very dangerous one, to think that citizens of one country are only interested in porn by the performers of the same Country is in my view & a bit short sighted.

With our VoD product we largely target UK customers and this has been successful for us. You can't create a product that pleases everyone. The US is the biggest market in the world so by your logic, everyone should target the US - the problem being that the competition is fierce.
