View Full Version : Whats the recipe for today WFH???
After your success with moussaka yesterday... What have you got planned for today?
With the weather like it is I fancy a nice sheperds pie (was going to say cottage pie - but thought better of it) - quite easy and straight forward to make..........

Last night I made lemon & white wine escalope...

Parsnips - Lovem!
My way of doing them -
Par boil (2 mins) in chicken stock - and leave to marinade over-night
Place the parsnip in a dish of red wine , cover and place in the oven for about 30/40 mins -
Remove and then place them on grease proof paper and dribble honey over and place back in the oven for a further 20 mins
Use the red wine and stock to make a creamy red sauce
Goes well with any grilled meat -
Mmmmmm Shepherds Pie...
Haven't had that for ages...
My main gastronomic event this week will be on the 14TH when the local Chinese re-opens after what seems an eternity of a holiday :)
Cant Wait!!!
I had fish and chips last night, first time in ages and it was fucking scrum.
Think it'll be stir fry tonight as I've got a lot to do, and it's quick.
