Just read this bit on a sponsor's FAQ page:

Do you accept mail traffic?

We don't allow our sites to be promoted via the use of unsolicited spam mail.
I read that as 'We won't give a clear cut answer like YES or NO to that one, so we can keep your money if we decide so later'

Am I the only one to see a difference between mail in general and spam? How would they find out if the signup results from unsolicited spam mail or mails sent to surfers that opted to be informed, unless I shared my email lists with them, which I sure as hell would never intend to do?

I guess most sponsors dont care where the traffic comes from, but they have this clause in case the shit hits the fan. I dont and have never done emailing, spam or otherwise. But its still withoubt doubt the easiest and quickest way to make big bucks

Why not just say no mail ads at all then? The way it's worded there, it sure sounds like a backdoor.
