When I said Hitwise I was talking about the company, not 'hit-wise' as in the number of hits.

The article does not differentiate between the habits of Male & Female.

I *imagine* that traditionally porn on line is looked at more by male surfers than female (Note the use of my word "Imagine" there)

Given that over the last few years these Social network sites have become much more popular & I imagine (Yep I'm doing alot of Imagining today) they are equally if not more so popular with Females, especially younger ones, then the figures, i.e. "Porn Viewing Habits In Decline" might not be so true, there *may* be just as many people looking at porn as there ever was but the increase in popularity by BOTH genders of the Social Network sites is simply pushing them up the list.

(Not sure if this post has come out correctly but I hope you get the gist)

Just Google up "Marketing On Facebook" .... I think facebook have an app where you can submit targeted ads to "students" based on their profile. Sort of what like MySpazum does.

I know that in my halls in the first year every other guy was filling his harddrive with internet porn (on their brand new computers)... Although how much of it was paid for is another question. Although I assume students in the US are all armed with credit cards.

Banks throw credit cards at students these days, not with major credit limits but definatly enough for a couple of memberships.

edit: well I say 'these days' they did when I was at uni but thinking about it now that was 4 years ago.

Not my experience... I didn't really know anyone with a CC. Switch cards; yes, loans; yes, but people who tried for CCs got turned down. There were a couple of exceptions, obviously. :)
