.xxx re the UK

I think its useful to have a .xxx perspective.

Just a few thoughts on this.

1. In the USA they say .xxx will cost $60, I wonder how much in the UK?

2. How many UK domain sellers will actually sell the .xxx? I have chatted to a few and they are not sure as yet if they want to.

3. If porn is forced to go onto .xxx, what will you do if you have a website name, such as mysite.co.uk, but in the USA someone has mysite.com. The .com person will presumably have the right to buy the .xxx.

No one will have the right to buy anything unless they have a trademark on the .xxx or alot of money for lawyers. I know Gary Kremen who owns sex.com has a trade mark on sex.xxx so hes ready to go to court. Thhe rest is how much money you have to fight in court

Very similar price if not the same I would of thought.

I'm sure a few will.

There has been nothing to say that the .com owners will be given the right to buy the .xxx version, only if it is a registered trademark.
