an online interviews on the B+B WM forum?
Each week or two weeks a member is invited to shamlessly promote
their services / wares / affiliate programme / new site / products etc.
It could take the form of the interviewee posting a description about
their service etc and then the other members ask serious business
questions about the service etc.
The interview could take place at a set time, say 8pm on a Wednesday.
It could be an interactive version of the Spam your arse off and the
Get Linked up sections of the board combined but in a controlled manner.
I know that most threads on the board cater to the other members
needs but it doesn't detract from the ethos of the board, it merely concentrates the members focus on another members business etc.
Say an interview with
Vince about merchant accounts and how he sees the industry
going re charging, taken the shit exchange rate with the dollar.
Geezer on how to build a successful blog.
Xcite TV on how he promotes his own content.
Apache Anderson on the website construction.
Kinky John on the ins and outs of buying licensed content.
Adultbusiness on the merits of tube site and what is involved in
the set up.
Rosie and Hinc on BDSM
WordsforHire on, well, words for hire.
Globalguy on taking payments via PRS/SMS.
just a few ideas.
and of course Strictly on how to make the most money in the
shortest time, without stealing it, and then take holidays
every week.:noway2:
It should benefit everybody and we can only learn more.

what you do!
If you are in the adult business a targeted interview about your services etc
could increase your revenue taken the amount of surfers on this board and
the links it threads get to Google.

no it wouldn't, as i mainly deal with the non-english sites in our portfolio as well as doing B2B stuff online and offline, where i pick my contacts rather than being hit up by them.
i personally have no interest in a surfer from here finding either.

I actually do quite a lot of non adult stuff, with new stuff coming in most weeks.
Im in the middle of doing a gargae / car repair / car sales site for a local buisness, but I dont tend to mention that stuff here, simply because its not adult :)

I think the theory is good but for it to work you need someone intelligent and reliable to do the interviews who has a good founding of industry knowledge to be able to ask the right questions as well as getting buy in from enough interviewees with something interesting and worthwhile to say - not sure that it would be something sustainable but might be worth a try if you get the right person to do it and the right area(s) covered in the interview(s).

As You said to DVT it IS always interesting finding out a lil bit more about the aspects of the biz, that you are aware of... But someone else specialises in...
I consider myself a 'jack of all trades'... But in the same breath will say I still have a lot to learn, that I dont even know i need to learn...
So as to the interviews? Yeah... Bring it on :)

It is interactive thread as oppossed to reactive one like a normal thread is.
The interviewee posts about their service business etc then the members
can post questions and the interviewee will answer their questions in
a return post.
The admin of B+B can start the ball rolling by seeing the interviewees post
before the rest of us and therefore ask some questions to get things started.
The admin can also delete any stupid or off-topic posts and basically keep
the rabble in line, if possible.
The point of setting a time is to bring a little structure to whole thing.
