your pc clock should change i guess artomaticly.

but its a real pain having to put all the clocks back one hour.

it means its dark at 4pm.

Yeah, although I'm a total blonde so probably wouldn't have connected the two. When the clocks went forward earlier this year I was still up late working on a site and had popped to make a cup of tea, and on return to the computer, saw the time was over an hour later than I thought it was. I just assumed I'd lost an hour somewhere and was going mad. Durrr.

Dark at 4pm :( What a very depressing thought.

I don't bother any more. It does mean that I'm constantly late for things for six months of the year, but I can live with that.

i think its all the scotish peoples fault as we have to change the time so they do not fall obver in the dark in the morning or somthing as apparently they do not have streetlights over there. although some main towns have a little chap with a big stick lighting candles on tall poles.

As an early riser I appreciate the light in the mornings so I like the clocks going back in winter.

Some people want to have BST right through winter which would mean sunrise after 9 : 00 am in December. And you're right, DVT, it would be 10 : 00 am in Scotland.

I reckon we should just accept that days are shorter in winter and everyone should work 1 hour less per day.

It is done so that the day is longer in the afternoon after working hours ... which is bullshit.

I remember my 8 to 5 job at a factory. It was dark in the morning when i went in and dark when I finished. Now that well and truly fucks you up.

Actually Scottish people DONT want the stupid clock changing shit. It benefits down south more, I don't know the specifics but Paul was rambling it of to me last night

Another reason we have it is cause I'm sure they did a test quite a lot of years ago, like wayyyyy before my time in the early seventies or something where they didn't do the change and when kids woke up in the morning it was still pitch dark so had to walk to school in the dark and it wasn't the best.

Can you imagine groups of kids walking to school in the dark in the mornings now? No way hosey. Far to dangerous for that shit.

And what the fuck is wrong with working when it's dark outside? Buildings have lights and heating etc.

Personally, I love winter and it getting dark and cold and icey/snowy. It's ym favorite time of the year.

They just said due to this electricity increases by 5% as lights go on earler.

Apparently farmers like it!!! Are they unable to wake up an hour earler??

And of course those (scots) like it. I think thats because its then darker earler so they cannot see each other and so can get off with people without having to see ther faces.

* yes they do. everything is the scots fault. boo to the scots.

* sod them.

* sod them. worse case is a few get run over, but thats just natural selection. keeps the nombers down.

And what the fuck is wrong with working when it's dark outside? Buildings have lights and heating etc.

* what is work?
