Whilst you lot are rattling on about 'shirtlifters, mincers and wogs' and I presume DVT is asleep or has topped himself.... it was announced this morning that our beloved pint is saved from those gastly EU beaurocrats.....
Unfortunately, the EU cave in on metrification came too late for the scots who lost out on their 'nip' measure of whiskey............
But we can still manfully ask for a pint when we march up to the bar, rather than asking for a shirtlifting '500 ml'
And theres more - we can get a lb of bananas again, prices for pertrol can be shown price as per gallon (although I suspect it wont be), we get the 25 yard line back in rugby - rather than the 22 metre line, we keep the furlong markers for horseracing and you cna get your dealers to supply your coke by the ounce rather than grams.....
