an average BT mail nottification had around 8k when there was one message it reported. now they are 110 to 120k, blimey. 2 messages in a mail jumped from 12k to 200k.

am i missing my bar of gold in them? :D

nope :) changed for 2 reasons.

1. HTML emails now include the graphics and CSS. Works better for most email clients.
2. In the last 24 hours there was a delay in email alerts.. so you might see longer lists in the next few hours where the email system is catching up.

just had another alert mail, 137k for one message. i sure hope i'll never have to use dial up again. :D

Anyway.. 137K is not much is it?
even in 56K modem its about 20 seconds

compared to the lean less than 10k for a single message alert before, it is ;)

don't worry, just having a bit of a pick on you guys. :D
although i did wonder why the size jumped so drastically, i see 99% of my mail with mailwasher only, and there wasn't any obvious difference, cos it doesn't display any graphics and the likes.
