I see a lot of stuff saying don't eat too much salt. I mean what about all the fatty suggary foods people eat?

You can do much worse than eat too much salt

Danish food is all really fresh and nice, but they add about a wheelbarrow of salt to everything out here. I've never had such painful and frequent cramps in my life, several times I've lept out of bed screaming my head off and feeling like I've been shot in the leg.

That said, the Danes all live to a ripe old age and seem completely immune to the effects of the high levels of salt in their diet. They also fry loads of their food and those things which aren't covered in salt are 90% sugar. A huge proportion of adult Danes smoke heavily too.

You'd have thought they would all drop dead at 30, but they've one of the lowest heart disease rates in the western world. The one thing they don't "do" over here though is artificial preservatives. If the food isn't fresh they won't eat it..... I've often wondered if that's a factor. Plus you very rarely see a fat Dane.

Or maybe they're a race of mutant inbreeds with a tolerance to fat sugar and salt :)

well i never add salt to anything ever, so I dont really need it, but its quite amazing how much is already on food, like bacon for example.

just looked up on my reply yesterday and should say sorry for the spelling... I meant it is bad and yes FOD means food lol....

I must agree that it is silly with the salt added to food just like bacon etc

Despite being an adult webmaster, I have very low blood pressure, my doctor has actually recommended I increase my salt intake.
