Cancer doesn't attack you by age -
His story was on sky recently about a drug he needed which was being funded by one of his bands - His death isn't going to help others trying to get Sutent on prescription. Shame the guy died - He had some nice musical talent finds.
RIP Tony Wilson, Mr Manchester, off to inspire the choirs above.

RIP Tony
met him enough times at The Hac & various pretty messy afterparties
we once had a mad buzz car chase through Ashton on Mersey at 4am
he was in a droptop citroen 2cv with some bird and we were in a cortina
he was a cocky posh cokehead, but he did a lot for Manchester longer term
always using his Granada TV platform to raise the profile of the music & clubs
i was convinced he was gay, and i know he fucked a few people over for cash
but all in all, he wasn't a bad egg . . bit like a posh Pete Waterman

When I first went to live in Manchester I remember being in pubs where someone would mention Wilson, then someone would else would say "cunt".
Took me a while to figure out why.
Tony Wilson was a cunt, may he RIP, he will be missed.

He was always very good on tv as a presenter.
I think he died broke.
Simon Cowell makes out that he is great at finding talernt, but I think Tony Wilson was probably the best at it.
I am looking forward to that free best of happy mondays cd this weekend. Seems a shame its free.
