Promoting SMS site

Hi guys please be nice to the newbie:noway2:

I have been an affiliate of adult sites for a while now and only just in a positon to put in enough time and energy to see a bit of a return.

My question is...

any tips/advice on how to promote a sex text site? I have tried Google adwords and search engines and only just about breaking even. I know there must be better more cost effective (or preferably FREE :P ) methods but have been able to find any toplists or banner exchanges for this market.

My experience is that promoting SMS services on the web doesn't work. Why would someone trade down from broadband to mobile services?

You need to promote mobile either in print, or by direct SMS to a marketing list.

Just to clarify its service where subscribers get messages from sexy babes though I do take your point that print is probably a better medium. Trouble is I have a very limited budget and wanted to plough back the money I make into print advertising further down the line but so far have just about made enough to cover adword costs :(

so any suggestions for web advertising until I get to this stage would be appreciated

What I'm saying is, I don't think you'll ever make a return by advertising mobile services on the web, so I'd advise you to save your money. Why would people want to use SMS chat when they can chat to webcam babes online?
