I got a load of Chinese boards hotlinking my free movie (WMV) trailers.
Does anyone use http://www.antihotlinking.com or know of any other software to stop movie hotlinking?
Regular .htaccess doesn't work for movies.

One simple option is to convert your films to flash, and use frash films on your site.

That would kill sales. Punters want to see trailers of *actual* content inside your site.

Exactly
We offer a low quality version (which we make clear) on the tours.

We used to use Antihotlinking a year or so back one one of our FHG servers but found the aditional load on the server very high plus it stopped cache-ing which we found to be a problem.

Why not just use a geo script and block the problem countries like everyone else does now?

Redirect the chinese surfers to chocker, he pays a few pence for them I believe. Not really a way to solve the problem long term, but short term its an option

I have anti hot linking on my server I submit movie galleries on, found it to work very well. It does put a load on the server but saying that its saved me a ton in bandwidth with hotlinked movies from my galleries. I found the movie boards to be more of a problem.

Anti Hotlinking for videos is just possible if you will use a session based solution, or the less secure via cookies
