If you are billing with ClearCards / Tritech especially Tangable Items (shopping cart sales) please be aware of the following.

The company has raised their Charge Back fee by 300% from $12.00 to $35.00 WHY ???
if you're a merchant have you been informed ??? if not then they have broken your original agreement but before you kick off about it read on.

Also be aware that if you suffer a major chargeback and push the issue for ClearCards to dispute it or push any other issues here is a qoute from one the companies representatives " Best you leave this issue and move on if you want to keep your account. Where else can you get 12% processing.

This is not sour grapes what this is about is a number of company representatives including a Senior Director within the company lying and deceiving hoping the issue would go away, but as this is the second time it has happened it wouldn't go away and when pressured into disputing a chargeback of $426 from one bad customer plus $175 in CB fees total $601 with their bank after 3 weeks of lies and closing down a healthy six figure account because the director spat his dummy out of his pram and then offering to override their bad decisions by the companies Senior Vice President to re open our account they came clean on the issue but still tried to cover their arses.

Clear cards and I qoute their words this was tendered after they had confirmed on more than one occasion that the matter WAS being investigated by their bank: From the companies SVP:

"Mr. XXXXX was correct in advising you that, unfortunately ClearCard cannot re-present your chargebacks for dispute. This process is not available to us through our Merchant bank as it is cost prohibitive and fails the vast majority of the time to be ruled in the favor of the merchant. Further, this cost is passed on to ClearCard and is an additional cost burden in an already costly process."

Yet their check out pages quoute they will prosecute Fraud to the full extent of the law this has just been proven is pure lip service.

So if you do tangable goods and some of our DVD orders run into hundreds of dollars or even if it is just one $24.95 signup that is now going to cost you $59.95 per CB and whatever content they have downloaded, clearly Clear Cards the company have problems and you will be picking up the tab irrespective that Clear Cards say it is too expensive to dispute a chargeback. There is a lot more to confirm this issue in mail from Clear Cards and ICQ history and if you want more of the facts please mail me.

Add this to all their other processing problems and extremely slow support for both merchants and customers their services leave a lot to be desired and after two years plus with them their offer to re instate my account was declined I wonder why!
