We have been working with a few companies on IPTV for 5 years now
Its coming but the commitment from some big players like BT has been patchy.
t started because of the demand for pay-per-view in hotels and is moving onto new housing developments but the people behind it just move from one meeting to the next and nothing actually gets done.
There has been talk of installing IPTV in military barracks for 5 years but Hey there's a war on now and we cant even afford decent equipment for our soldiers never mind pay-per-view porn. But once they see( and we did try to tell them) how much profit can be made I am sure it will be a different story.
When we looked at starting our own SKY channel we developed (stumbled upon) a way to make use of existing co-axial cabling from a digital source ie: a server. For installation in hotels where re-cabling was not an option.
bored yet.......
we were... thats why we got out

I just wonder if people will opt for faster bradband speeds. It will hapen, but if "It is estimated that 4.5 million homes in Europe will have net TV services by 2008.", will it be enough for firms to invest?

Speedier broadband speeds are needed plus those stupid "max download per month" caps need to increase or be scrapped.
