The offer of 5K of hits a while back

I have been meaning to ask, a week or so ago a chap offered to send around 5K of hits to a gallery.

Did anyone gets sales or results from it?

I had a tracker on the gallery, and found that I did get at least 2K of hits, but nothing came from it.

I suspect the traffic was just junk.

But I wondered if anyone got anything from it.

To me it just proves that buying traffic is a waste of space.

Got 2 sales from mine the traffic seemed quite good.

With out buying traffic/gallery spots etc how do you grow your business at any serious rate?

On another note I think its unfair to classify the guys traffic as junk.

2k or 5k hits which ever you recieved is too small amount to base any kind of decent judgement on his traffic.

As far as buying traffic is concerned you really need to know what you are doing, where you are sending it to and how to convert it. We have bought many many millions of hits from sites and brokers over the years and while some has been absolute crap or non existent most has been great and once you get to know your supplier its really just a matter of turning hits into sales.

I agree.

The 1st one would have struggled and the 2nd one that was selected to go to the poker site needs to be spell checked anyway.

Ive sold traffic for the last 5 years and never tout for new business, I nearly always only deal with customers who Ive delt with for years. For the exact response from people who dont have a clue about what to do with bought traffic. What SGS is saying is 100% correct. Anyone who expects to by 5,000 blind hits and then slags of the broker because he didnt make any sales, really should think about doing another job in my opinion.

Im not sure of his pricing, but basically what you have done is the equivilant of putting a one line $25 add in very very small porn mag with a circualation of 5,000 and wonder why you made no sales to your poker site.

For someone who often says he has a degree in marketing I would think you could see how silly that would be.
