when 99% of our potential customers start using Macs then i might think about using one ..
More people use Macs than Vista .....

Thats like saying more people drive red cars than Ford Mondeos! Compare Mac usage to Windows usage and you will see that Windows as an OS is WAY ahead - whether its better or not depends entirely on what you want to use it for and has been discussed to death on here a million times before but yeah Im getting bored of the answer to most peoples technical questions being "buy a mac" - very helpful :rolleye0012:
Hahaa I'm still running on Windows with a box back from 2003 ....
We'll see in October .....

I had this problem but found the solution. Wish I could remeber more details for ya.
If your sound audio controllers are:
Realtek AC'97 Audio and legacy audio drivers your problems been caused by a bug in a windows XP udate about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I can't remembver the actual update but I think it was a security one. Anyway microsoft released a fix for the buggy update available from the usual sources. Initially I uninstalled the update but then after the release of the fix I put the update back in and the fix cos I got fed up of the nag screen and everything was OK
PS get it sorted after a lot of audio restarts I eventually lost audio altogether.
This problem was specific to the realltek audio so if your using something else your problem lies elsewhere.

see JT, this is why one turns auto updates off. ;)
Windows is safer with Auto Updates turned off. Last time I had it on it installed that genuine advantage shit on my computer. The fuck am I paying for faulty software. Dont you get it, why are Microsoft's beta testers. They should be paying us!
Every release of Windows has been Beta!
