Clarke makes a bold move to kill off privacy and data protection in the EU:

He told Euro MPs at the parliament in Strasbourg: "Of course criminals and terrorists use modern technology - the internet and mobile communications - to plan and carry out their activities.

"We can only effectively contest them if we know what they are communicating. Without that knowledge we are fighting them with both hands tied behind our backs.

now they clearly cannot (and wouldn't want to) flag criminals' accounts to scan those only. huzzah. more fun ahead. how long until data protection as a whole is abolished, then the road is clear for a 2257 like regulation too. which brings us back to this cunt from Sweden who trashes every erotic material as "degrading women". someone fucking show her some gay porn.

Wouldn't they have to end up scanning and checking everyone to look for terroists, sounds kinda silly to me, and it looks like they will be heading towards that, so much for europe being more relaxed eh...
