If you heard a country had people in prison or under house arrest without charging them or evidence you would be shocked.
So how come its ok for the uk to do this?

Never trust a politician when they say "National Security". It usually means "we're taking away your rights and we haven't got a good excuse".
If your'e a potential terrorist we will give you a tag and come see us at the local nick every now and again if you don't mind just to let us know that your'e being good.

My favourite "terrorists" were the ones from New York state who made phone calls to the Middle East about attending a "wedding". This was clearly code for a terrorist attack so they were detained. It turned out they were planning to attend a wedding in the Middle East.

When they refused to let Cat Stevens into the States, I thought that was a fuckin' disgrace. They used to play his records at morning prayers when I was at school.
