Got a charge for £12.99 on my business Visa card today from EUpaycom.net - phoned Paycom and they said I had signed up to an adult site with some yahoo address I'd never heard of - so now I've had to cancel my business Visa and will have to change details for about 40 payments that regularly go out from it.

Fucking fraud, at least it was only £12.99 :(

How would this happen, my security is water tight?

Wouldn't it be less hassle to pay the £12.99 and cancel the subscription?

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago on a card I havent used in ages, my daughter wanted to go to blackpool zoo so used it there and a few places around the town and never used it since. Then get a phone call from the card company to say they had noticed unusual transactions. Some pikey had decided to top up his mobile to the tune of £200 over three days and placed £250 at online ladbrookes in small bets. They even had my home address fuck knows how they got that!

Probally serves me right for going to Blackpool:doh:

As others have said, who knows what they may be planning next! But at least now they can't.

I really don't know why you can't have it so a card can only be used with a certain email address for online transactions - so that tvasd61@yahoo.com or whatever, can't pick up my details and use them without also using my email address - in which case receipt would have to be sent to me as well so I would know exactly what was going on (and at least I could have had a look round the site I had joined!)

No - I usually use her card for joining porn sites anyway. And funnily enough, all the fraud systems in the world never pick it up when I join sites with my thieving-cunt@yahoo.com address instead of the one she uses for all her transactions...

How do you pay for things then? This was my Visa Debit card rather than a credit card, and something worse happened to a friend on his Switch card a few years ago - he apparently visited Chessington World of Adventure with a family of four, while he was in Brazil...

Yeah we have a visa debit card but up until about 5 months ago we didn't and I had to use my visa electron for everything and it was tough! Didnt have a paypal account either so couldn't buy from many places online although compared to just a year ago there is LOADS more online places taking electron.

We don't really need a credit card in all truthfulness. It's be nice to have one for emergencies but we tend to leave a bit spare in the bank just in case. But what would I need a credit crd for?

I sympathise.

Just got my newest statement. Around £8000 stolen from my biz acct through debit card transactions to Ladbrokes, Tesco Mobile top-up and O2 top-up.

Can't get it sorted with the bank just now because their sytems are down...............FUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK.

I too thought my security was watertight. I normally run checks a couple of times per week and nothing has shown up, so I don't think they got it off my PC but I am gonna check again.

Sorry to hear that - you should get it back though, will probably take hours of form filling and phone calls. Funny how everyone says epass is shite when people seem to be having more money drained from proper bank accounts at the moment :( Maybe cash under the mattress is the way to go!

Thanks.

They still can't access the system but the girl said, we send forms, you fill them in, we look at them and decide if your dispute is valid or not.

"How long?" I asked.

"Depends on how busy we are."

Don't banks have "A duty of care" towards its customers?

Hmm, my card was cancelled yesterday but my Google Adwords account still says it received payment from the card after it was cancelled (and not my backup card) - but guess what my bank's systems are down as well...

You would think.

Still can't speak to someone about it because the systems are still down and they can't access my data.
