Wen I was draged to church as a kid, the one story that we were told that god did exsist is the ark one, as at the end god says, proof i exsist is that i shall never flood the world again.

as the world is started to be flooded again, does that mean god does not exsist.

one thing is fascinating though. when all the hype about global warming (which i can believe to be true, just not as humanity's fault alone but a normal cycle) started, i looked into it a tad more. did you know that if all the ice in Greenland would melt, the sea levels would climb by 7 meters worldwide? i always had Greenland down as some island, it's fucking huge though and the average depth of the ice on it is 1900 or 2300 meters, depending which expedition got it right.

7 meters, that'd be the end for quite some land. and if the predcitions on the Arctic Ocean being ice free in summers within a few years is correct, we might face some interesting observations.
not that we'd run out of land to live on, all the arctic regions like in Alaska, northern Canada or Russia, where the ground is frozen basically all year now, would become warmer as well and thaw. but will those losing land be welcome to live there?

Heard a really good religious debate on Radio 4 when that British guy got murdered in Iraq - they had some aethiest guy on saying to all these clergymen that basically everyone had been praying for the guy & he was still killed, so what was the point in worshipping a god who ignores so many people.

I've heard all the "God moves in mysterious ways" bullshit and it holds no water whatsoever (no pun intended).

I did get beaten up by some chavs once 10 mins after pissing on a church though so maybe i'm wrong.

If the water rose by seven metres, Most of the South of England would disappear - Which, incidentally, has been predicted by many to happen, but not by the ice melting - A huge volcano happening several thousands of miles south will send a huge tsunami which will cover most the the South of the UK - This is predicted to happen sometime in the final year of the Mayan Calendar (2012)

seriously though, Europe as a whole would be hit badly. Netherlands would suffer a New Orleans moment, wide areas of France facing the Channel are flat as a plate as are northern Germany and Danmark IIRC. and northern Italy around the river Po is just as flat, might nearly cut Italy off the mainland.

This is what will happen according to the eco chaps.

The ice caps will melt. The mexican thingie will stop moving and so will stop supplying us heat, we will have an ice age up north and it will be med conditions down here.
