I'm going on a 1 week vacation to Ireland. Me and a girlfriend will land in Dublin and start our drive across the country in our rental car from there. Any of you guys have any suggestions on what we should defenitely visit there, where to stay and any other stuff that might be useful?

Thanks in advance :)

If you want some variety, go visit the Guiness factory, see it being made, then drink it 'till you fall over.

You're meant to kiss it but I suspect that's just something the Irish made up so they can point and laugh at the foreign eejits.

it's kiss the blarney stone, but you have to bend over backwards with some odd looking man holding you as you do it.

Whatever you do, dont drive to tipperary, it REALLY is a fecking long way! lol
the roads are absolutely crap.

My band did some gigs in Ireland a few years ago - we were there for St Patricks which was pretty mental. We were driving down to Cork (on some of the worst roads in Europe) and got stuck in some middle of nowhere type town in our van, in the middle of a St Patricks day parade - I think the locals thought the 10 idiots in a minibus were part of the parade so we played along & waved to everyone. It was very Father Ted.

LOL, I've read some great suggestions already :)
The Guiness part was already in my book and I read about kissing the blarney stone in some travel guide. It also had a picture with some guy bending over backwards like Elisha described. I might pass on that one :)

We spent most of the time in the area around Galway so you might recognize some of the landscapes, like the Cliffs of Moher :D
